There is a holiday unique to the Scientology religion, celebrated in Scientology churches and missions around the world every year: March 13th — L. Ron Hubbard’s Birthday.Mr. Hubbard left behind a legacy of technology that anyone can learn and use to accomplish greater happiness, ability and spiritual freedom. It is because of this body of knowledge that The Aims of Scientology can be accomplished: “A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights.”Scientology churches and missions are dedicated to accomplishing these aims and when they gather to honor Ron, part of the celebration is a tradition that dates back to the 1970’s called the LRH Birthday Game. Churches and missions around the world compete with one another, and those with greatest expansion and progress toward these aims are awarded as the year’s “Birthday Game winners.” […]Scientology site: http://www.scientologytoday.org/press/702232148301_scn-local.htm

Question: WHAT IS THE L. RON HUBBARD MISSION BIRTHDAY GAME?
Answer: The Mission Birthday Game is a game created by L. Ron Hubbard in 1982. All missions in the world, no matter their size, play to expand the fastest! There is a system, whereby missions are awarded points based on the trend of their statistics. It is an exciting game, where the staff members are dedicated to expanding their areas. The Weekly, Quarterly and Cumulative standings are sent out every week by SMI International by e-mail—and also in a newsletter—so that mission staff can brief their public and make them part of the game.Scientology site: http://www.smi.org/openmission/faq/pg002.htm
